I started my own podcast!   The Reflective Practitioner is what I’m calling it.  I wanted students in an upcoming class to learn how to make a podcast so I needed to learn how to do it first! Check it out if you’re interested:

My first effort has room for improvement! My oven timer went off part way through LOL – just when I was speaking about moral imperative regarding indigenous principles….. but it’s a start and I know I’ll get better with practice 😉

Podcasting, especially in interview format (which is not what I did on my first episode), is a great way to meet interesting people, build your network, and discuss/share great ideas. As a leadership tool, I recommend it. Thanks to MA Lead colleague Tim vanderpyl for guidance regarding the technology-side of making an actual podcast.  (Tim has his own podcast  on recruitment best practices (Recruitment Now) which I encourage you to check out as well.)

The simplest platform to make a podcast is Anchor. It allows you to record/upload podcasts to one platform, and then Anchor will disseminate it to the other platforms automatically (Google, Apple, Spotify etc.). It took less than an hour to figure out and record, upload and share it. If you’re curious, try it out and send me a link to your podcast!http://I started my own podcast!
